Ribbit Write

Hi! This is a set of tools I made for practising stenography & typing, focused on dictation and dictation-style copying where the words automatically scroll at a chosen WPM.

Tabs

Dictation

For use with audio dictation.

1. Write Write along with the dictation.
2. Edit Edit any fixable mistakes, usually without re-listening to the dictation.
3. Correct Correct mistakes while re-listening to the dictation.
4. Review Review what you had edited against the correction.

Hard Copy

For copying text, especially several paragraphs of text.

1. Choose Choose what text to copy. You can split and join long text into sections, either by paragraphs or manually.
2. Write Write along to the text. Please be sure to choose your WPM before you start.
3. Edit Edit any fixable mistakes
4. Review Review what you had edited against the original.

Anki

For practising anki cards. ⚠️ Requires the AnkiConnect Anki plugin to be installed first.

1. Load Load cards based on a search (uses anki search syntax).
2. Write Write along to the text. Please be sure to choose your WPM before you start.
3. Review Review what you wrote, choosing how you want to mark the cards in anki.

Drill

For drilling text, especially if you want to randomise or repeat words or phrases.

1. Choose Choose text to drill.
2. Write Write along to the text. Please be sure to choose your WPM before you start.
3. Review Review what you wrote.
